Welcome to my homepage, enjoy your stay.
I am Jost, a computer science researcher based in Germany.
I am interested in technology that enables humans to do great things, and in research that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.
Right now, machine learning, free open-source software and digital privacy preservation are my main interests.
Here are my most recent blog posts.
Protecting and preserving digital privacy can come with compromises and annoyances but here is why digital privacy matters and why it is worth fighting for.
Why I use the Kagi search engine and why I think it's worth the cost. I tried it, enjoyed it and do highly recommend it, but not to everyone. Here is why.
How and why I run the recursive, validating and caching Unbound DNS resolver on my MacBook.
I have worked on some exiting projects with great people.
